Formats and useful details
Input
HEIC/HEIF, JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF and SVG; decoding support varies by format and browser.
Output
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP.
Good to know
This is a still-image workflow: animated inputs become a single image, TIFF uses its first page, and SVG is rasterized. JPG replaces transparent areas with a solid background.
Processed on your device
Your selected files are processed on your device by the browser-based converter. Available formats and conversion speed depend on your browser, the file’s encoding, and your device. Large files may require more memory.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert HEIC photos to JPG?
Yes. Select JPG as the output and add your HEIC or HEIF photos. You can adjust JPG quality or reduce the dimensions before downloading the results.
Which output should I use for a transparent image?
Choose PNG or WebP when you need transparency. JPG does not support transparent pixels and replaces them with a solid background.
Will the converter preserve animation and metadata?
The converter creates a still image from decoded pixels. It does not preserve GIF animation, multiple TIFF pages, or the original metadata as an archival copy. Keep the original file if those details matter.
